Our next guest has revolutionized the human computing experience through numerous inventions including the “Command Center Coding Cockpit” and “TruVue”. These devices cater to individuals who experience discomfort or wish to stay as healthy as possible while viewing a computer screen for a long period of time.
Che Voigt co-founded Altwork in 2011 with the goal of empowering “high intensity computer users” by creating a comfortable and healthy environment for them to accomplish their goals more efficiently and productively.
Che states “We're not curing cancer, we're not solving clean energy, we're not giving ourselves to be an interplanetary species, however, all of that work is being done at a computer […] Altwork wants its role to just give the best possible tool that we can to these people to help them [get their work] done a little bit sooner.” (9.00)
For a future episode, Che nominates Lance Cottrell, a board member of the North Bay Angels in the San Francisco Bay Area.
